The Long Commute
A weekly interview show, recorded and cut at ENO for a full twenty-six episode season.
The show had been recording in a co-working meeting room and losing a quarter of every episode to air-conditioning hum and corridor noise. The host wanted video, and the room could not give it.
We booked a standing Thursday slot on the acoustic floor for the season — same seats, same levels, same three cameras. Consistency across twenty-six episodes turned out to matter more than any single upgrade.
Each session ran ninety minutes, files went out the same evening, and the finished episode plus six vertical clips came back within five working days.
What it added up to
- 26 episodes recorded on a standing weekly slot
- 156 vertical clips cut across the season
- Every episode mixed to −16 LUFS
